Jin Mikuriya had just finished carving a wooden statue of a Tree Spirit and then suddenly the statue came to life as a girl.

"Do you happen to be a Tree Spirit?"

...asks Jin and the girl replied...

"You could say I am a mother of the earth, a goddess!"

While in amazement of the carefree manner in which she appeared, Jin explains the current state of her sacred tree, the source of her divinity. She then talks of the impurities that defile the land which she must hunt down.

People are unable to see the impurities, but Jin, having no special powers of a deity, is able to pick up such impurities and toss them aside.

"What in the world?!"

...and then the pretty girl kicks the boy in the stomach. The girl is depressed and the boy is confused.

And then an idea comes to the goddess to get her revenge.

Armed with her hand-made special weapon, the goddess attacks the impurities and shouts...

"Beautiful young girl, deity of the land, genius loci! I will uproot all impurities!"

With Jin looking on speechlessly, she exacts her revenge.

She then introduces herself.

"My name is Nagi. I have the same name as the sacred tree."

From here, Nagi, Jin and various other characters gathers and a down-home feeling romantic story begins.
